black sun

I titled this post back in 2023 and don’t recall what it was supposed to be about. Something deep? Who knows.

I’m here now, ready to both start and finish it if for no other reason than to have it out of the way.

There’s a wind blowing hard today, but despite it the fog persists. The fog has a will to survive like nothing I’ve recently seen. Well, maybe that’s not entirely true. The fruit flies at Nina’s shop for those few days in early August had incredible staying power. God bless them and everything on planet earth.

The sun is setting in its usual manner – disappearing below the horizon. Going to its secret little spot and letting the moon take over the sky for the night. What a beautiful relationship the two have. What incredible companions. And after all this time!
