i didn’t get out of your car because i felt i was in danger. nor was i embarrassed. i left because i didn’t want to be in there anymore. it was a claustrophobic feeling coming down on me. i imagine you’d have felt the same had you been in my position. what kind of goodbye were we supposed to share anyway?

regardless, thank you for your forgiveness. i wasn’t fishing for it, but appreciate having it in the mix. does forgiveness imply an admission of guilt? are we both guilty of something now? i have more questions than answers. i hope it comes through that i don’t blame you. i think any essence of true vulnerability was beyond both of us at the time. though, if i’m being honest, my feelings were hurt. did it not leave you curious for reason? do you frequently have interactions like that with strangers?

speaking of which, i think we’re barely strangers at this point, even though you seem to lavish in calling me one. am i your favorite stranger now? you might be mine.

ps

if you’re not a jerk, then i’m not crazy. my interest in you is genuine. any desire to figure myself out is minimal. there is love in my heart.
